Mexican authorities made a shocking discovery on Wednesday after finding an explosives “factory” at a farm in the municipality of Marcos Castellanos in the Mexican state of Michoacán.

Members of the Mexican National Guard, Army and State Police discovered the site while conducting a manhunt to apprehend a suspect in Sunday’s bloody funeral massacre in San Jose de Gracia and initial reports suggest that the explosive materials are believed to belong to the Jalisco Cartel – New Generation (CJNG).

The Michoacan Attorney General's Office reported that the site was first found during an aerial and ground operation in a rural area 15 kilometers from the town of San José de Gracia.

According to Aristegui News, officers seized homemade explosives and bombs which are meant to be delivered by remotely operated aerial drones.

Presently, police and military officials are still on the hunt for an armed group led by a drug trafficker by the name of Abel ‘N,’ also known as ‘El Viejón,’ – the presumed leader of the CJNG in San José de Gracia and the primary suspect in Sunday’s attack.

According to local sources, El Viejón targeted Sunday’s funeral because his primary rival, ‘El Pelón,’ was there mourning his mother’s death along with his family.

After the hit, Abel also allegedly ordered the bodies of 'El Pelón' and his hitmen to be hidden, which is why both the armed group and the bodies are being sought in the border area of the states of Michoacán and Jalisco.
