Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called upon the international community to stand together against Iran’s attacks on the Promised Land.

The former Israel Defense Forces commando turned political statesman said it was critical the international community “stand united in resisting this Iranian aggression, which threatens world peace,” in a Monday statement on the X social media platform.

Netanyahu warned the free world that, “directly and through its terror proxies Hamas and others, Iran is conducting a full-scale campaign of aggression that threatens not only Israel but the entire Middle East.”

The prime minister's call for international unity came just two days after Iran launched its largest coordinated military strike against Israel in history.

Reports indicate that the Islamic Republic of Iran launched more than 300 missiles against Israel, but nearly all of them were intercepted and destroyed by Tel Aviv’s Iron Dome missile defense system.

Tehran said the strike was revenge for an accidental Israeli attack against consulate building in the Iranian embassy compound in Damascus, Syria.

After the weekend strike against Israel, Iran said it would only reengage if Israel or the U.S. struck back. The Islamic Republic said its military operation would cease “as long as there is no response against Tehran from Israel and the United States.”

“Through the Swiss embassy, we sent a message to the U.S. saying that if it cooperates with Israel in its possible actions against Iran, its bases (in the region) will not have any security and we will deal with them,” said Iranian Gen. Mohamad Hossein Baqeri.

The chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces said that Tehran carried out a “successful” operation, and that it was a victory.

The Swiss embassy in Tehran represents American interests on Iranian soil and Iran often acts as an international liaison to pass messages back and forth with the United States.

“We have created a new equation with the Zionist state,” said Hossein Salami, the head of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, on Sunday.

“And the equation is that, from now on, if Israel attacks Iranian interests, military or citizens anywhere in the world, they will receive a direct response from Iran.”

This unprecedented attack by Iran and its allied militias has placed Israel on high alert. The international community has expressed concern over the attack and has engaged in debate as to whether a military response could risk escalation and lack of a response could invite further aggression from Tehran.

Tehran’s failed missile strike came as Israeli citizens waited in anticipation of an Iran driven retaliatory attack after the Iranian consulate in Damascus was accidentally bombed of on April 1.

That incident left seven members of the Revolutionary Guard and six Syrian citizens dead.

President Biden cut his weekend at his Delaware beach house short to meet with the National Security Council which has been closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East.

National Security Council representative Adrienne Watson said in a statement that “Iran has initiated an airstrike against Israel,” adding that “the United States will stand with the people of Israel and support their defense against these threats from Iran.”

In a statement published on Social Truth, former President Donald Trump insisted the attack on Israel never would have happened if he were still the president of the United States.
