A Venezuelan boy was brutally beaten by a classmate on a school bus in Orlando last Friday afternoon.
According to the complaint, Mervin Alejandro Márquez had been bullied for several days by his abuser.
A video circulating on social networks shows the aggression suffered by the young migrant. Marquez was repeatedly beaten and thrown to the ground while the bus was still moving.
Márquez is a student at Freedom Middle Scholl in Orlando and is originally from Machiques de Perijá, Venezuela.

Family demands justice
The boy had been bullied by the same aggressor on several occasions, his parents told Venezuelan journalist Sergio Novelli. "My son did not tell us anything, fearing that he would be punished at school," said Gina Escorcia, mother of the victim.
"This is appalling. We hope they will make corrections regarding this incident. It is not just one child; it is a group that intimidates others. We want them to take us into account, to listen to us," she continued.
When she met with the school, she was told that they would not expel the offender. "They told me that if I waited for them to expel the child, that was not going to happen, that they could only give me a scholarship to take my son out of school. This has affected us as parents. My son feels fear, psychologically he is in bad shape."
The parents filed a report with the police and expect the school to keep them informed of any action taken.
