Former President Trump will be the headliner Monday night at a fundraiser for House Republicans in Tampa, Florida.

The dinner and reception at the Tampa Convention Center is benefitting the National Republican Congressional Committee, the party group primarily responsible for keeping and winning House seats for the GOP.

Tickets are selling from $5,000 to $255,000 for a VIP package.

The evening event is part of a larger two-day fundraiser, which will also feature House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, House Republican Whip Steve Scalise (La.), and House Republican Conference Chairwoman Rep. Elise Stefanik, as they campaign to take back the lower chamber in the upcoming midterm election.

Trump remains extremely popular in Florida and has publicly weighed in on several House races ahead of 2022, particularly on those in which Republican members voted to impeach him in January over the Jan. 6 riot.

Republicans are increasingly expected to regain control of the House next year, a belief bolstered last week by their candidates winning last week in a number of statewide and local races. The party needs to gain just five seats to regain the House majority.

In Florida, one of those is the open Pinellas County-area seat held by Democratic Rep. Charlie Crist, who is running for governor. Trump has endorsed Anna Paulina Luna in the Republican primary to replace Crist.
