The Republican Party of Florida officially has a voter advantage over the Democratic party, with 45,153 active registered voters.

"The Florida GOP notched another historic win by doubling the number of newly active registered voters in one month,” said the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) in a press release.

“According to the latest Florida Department of State, Division of Elections data, Florida Republicans have an advantage of 45,153 active registered voters who are showing their preference for conservative Republican principles. Under the leadership of Governor Ron DeSantis and state and local leaders, Florida will remain a free and open state," added the RPOF.

In November of last year, Republicans surpassed Democrats for the first time in Florida’s history.

"When I got elected governor we had 280,000 more registered Democrats than Republicans in the state of Florida," said Governor Ron DeSantis upon hearing the news. "Today, and it will probably be fully publicized very soon, for the first time in the history of Florida we have overtaken Democrats. There are more registered Republicans in Florida than Democrats."

With the Democratic Party’s declining popularity, Republicans could see around 200,000 registered voters, cementing the party’s advantage by Election Night 2022.
