Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ team fired back at New York City Mayor Eric Adams after he offered to teach Florida governor about the Big Apple’s “values.”

DeSantis, a possible presidential candidate for 2024, hosted an event on Staten Island on Monday as part of a pro-police tour through Democratic-run cities that are struggling with surging crime.

"Welcome to NYC, @GovRonDeSantis, a place where we don’t ban books, discriminate against our LGBTQ+ neighbors, use asylum seekers as props, or let the government stand between a woman and health care," Adams wrote in a tweet.

"We’re happy to teach you something about values while you’re here," he added.

DeSantis' team did not take long to respond to Mayor Adam’s tweet.

"Nice rhetoric – but here’s reality: More Americans fled NYC than any other metro area last year," wrote DeSantis campaign spokeswoman Christina Pushaw. "More Americans moved to Florida than any other state."

"You know this, Mayor Adams, and you’ve talked (accurately) about crime pushing people out of NYC," Pushaw said. "Florida’s crime rate meanwhile is at a 50-year low."

"Maybe it’s you who can learn from [DeSantis]?" she added.

As part of his tour, the Florida governor will also meet with sheriffs, police chiefs, and other local law enforcement officials in Fort Washington, Philadelphia, and Elmhurst, Illinois.

“As you see crime that has spiraled out of control in all these areas around our country over the last few years, Florida has a crime rate that’s at a 50-year low,” DeSantis told the crowd at the event in Staten Island. “The reason is, we support strong policies to keep our communities safe and we back the blue and support their mission with money and other stuff.
