Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis recently took a jab at President Joe Biden’s growing frustration over his poor polling numbers.

DeSantis referred to reports of turmoil within the White House between the president and his staff during a press conference Thursday about his budget, saying Biden “never takes responsibility for himself.”

“His approval ratings are in the toilet. He can't understand it, he's lashing out at his staff, he's blaming other people,” he told the audience in a Twitter clip shared by TheBlaze.

“He’s blaming the media even though he gets the most sycophantic media coverage any president has ever gotten,” DeSantis added.

“Compare how they treated Trump to how they treat Biden. It’s night and day.”

Polling by Politico found that only 43% of Americans approved of Biden’s job performance.

DeSantis may have been referring to a May 31 NBC News report with many juicy details of discontent within the West Wing. Biden has reportedly doesn’t think enough Democrats defend him in public and has lashed out at his aides for trying to “walk back” or “clean up” his off-the-cuff statements.

Politico also found turmoil and sinking morale among White House staff in a report published Sunday including how Biden’s inner circle believes staff treat the president “with kid gloves,” keeping from showing the genuine and relatable side that won over suburban voters in 2020.

DeSantis’ signed his Freedom First budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 that day as well.

“Florida has preserved freedom and kept the economy open, which has enabled the state to outperform the nation in jobs, growth, and business formations,” DeSantis boasted in a press release.

“Our commitment to freedom has paid off. Our responsible fiscal policies have put the state in a strong position to make the record investments needed to support growth and opportunity in spite of the reckless fiscal and monetary policies of the Biden administration.”
