Cuban-born serial killer arrested in Miami

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and Interim Police Chief Manuel Morales announced the arrest of a suspected serial killer. The suspect was identified as Willy Suarez Maceo, 25, who was in jail on a trespassing charge. 

Police arrested him on one count of attempted murder, but are also investigating his possible connection to two shootings that occurred on Tuesday night. 

In one of the two shootings, the victim survived. In the other, a homeless man was killed in Wynwood.

Detectives are also investigating his connection to another murder that occurred in October. They recovered a car and a firearm believed to have been used in the shootings.

Police records show that Suárez Maceo is a licensed real estate broker. Century 21 lists him as working in Miami, Kendall, South Miami, and Palmetto Bay.

According to his Facebook page, he was born in Cuba and was a student at Miami Sunset Senior High School.
