Five classic rum-based cocktails

These unbelievably simple rum-based cocktails are filled with flavor.
Piña Colada
Ingredients:
- 12 oz pineapple juice
- 6 oz white rum
- 6 oz cream of coconut
- Ice
- Pineapple wedges (optional)
- Coconut flakes (optional)
- Cherry (optional)
Directions:
Blend all of the ingredients with the ice.
Pour into a glass and garnish with pineapple wedges, cherry, and coconut flakes.
Serves 2
Rum and Coke
Ingredients:
- 2 oz dark rum
- 5 oz Coca Cola
- Lime wedge (optional)
- Ice
Directions:
Mix Coca-Cola and rum in a glass. Add ice. Garnish with a lime wedge.
Serves 1
Dark & Stormy
Ingredients:
- 2 oz dark rum
- ½ oz fresh lime juice
- Ginger beer
Directions:
Add rum and juice to a tall glass. Top with ginger beer and stir. Garnish with a lime twist.
Serves 1
Daiquiri
Ingredients:
- 2 oz white rum
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- ½ oz simple syrup
- Ice
- Lime twist (optional)
Directions:
Add the rum, lime juice, sugar, and ice to a shaker. Shake and strain into glass. Garnish with a lime twist.
Serves 1
Mojito
Ingredients:
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 tsp sugar
- Mint leaves
- 2 oz white rum
- Water
- Ice
- ½ cup Club soda or sparkling water
Directions:
Add the mint, sugar, and lime juice to a class. Muddle the mint to extract the essence. Add rum, club soda, and ice.
Serves 1
Mai Tai
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ oz white rum
- ¾ oz fresh lime juice
- ½ oz dark rum
- ½ oz orange Curaçao
- 1 oz orgeat syrup
- Ice
- Cherry (optional)
Directions:
Add the white rum, Curaçao, lime juice, and orgeat syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well.
Strain the drink into a glass. Top with dark rum. Garnish with a cherry.
Serves 1
