Pop-star Shakira may get a little sweet revenge against her cheating ex, Barcelona soccer star ex Gerard Piqué, who plays for the world renowned Barcelona FC team.

The team is reportedly considering entering into a licensing deal with the pop star to have her name emblazoned on the team jersey, which puts her estranged ex in an awkward position.

The story was reported overseas by sports writer Moises Llorens, a well-known scribe for the Spanish news daily “El Español.”

“Barcelona is planning the ‘reunion’ of Gerard Piqué with Shakira,” according to a story by Llorens published in “El Español.”

The Barcelona sports club has not commented on the report.

Earlier this year, fans of both the pop star and the famed Barcelona defender were saddened to find out the couple broke up after allegations that he cheated.

The 35-year old Spanish athlete allegedly had a romantic rendezvous with 23-year-old student Clara Chia Marti. Shakira learned of the relationship after photos of the two together emerged.

The pop star was reportedly upset and deeply disappointed since the couple share two children together.

During last Sunday’s 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the ongoing “El Clásico” series at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Barca players were outfitted with jerseys bearing the “OVO” owl logo, which is the symbol representing the brand marketed by pop star Drake.

That licensing deal stems from a separate agreement Barcelona signed with Spotify.

Barcelona FC wore the Drake logo to honor the artist having made a world record of achieving 50 billion streams on Spotify, the first musician to do so.

The Barcelona licensing agreement may give Shakira a little satisfaction, but it doesn’t change some of the hardships she’s been facing.

Last months a Spanish judge ruled she had to face prosecutorial accusations for allegedly failing to pay $13.9 million in past taxes she earned from 2012-2014.

Prosecutors are not holding back and have allocuted to the judge presiding in the case they are seeking an eight year prison sentence.

Shakira, who previously rejected a plea deal with Barcelonian prosecutors has raised a defense, and her representatives say she’s already paid what she owes plus another 2.8 million euros in interest.

The pop says that during the 2012-2014 period, she spent less than half her time in Spain, which is generally the defense for people paying federal taxes in various countries including the United States.
