Police: South Americans stole $500,000 in luxury watches from Madrid hotels posing as delivery men

Apparently, the subjects were members of a gang that posed as food delivery men to steal luxury watches worth up to 500,000 euros

Three Venezuelans and a Colombian were arrested on Tuesday by the Spanish Police as alleged members of a gang that posed as food delivery men to steal expensive watches from luxury hotels and restaurants in the center of Madrid.

After several months of investigation, these individuals were captured after a raid in which several objects of criminal interest were intervened.

According to the police report, the individuals kept watch in the vicinity of well-known hotels and restaurants and posed as home delivery men to go unnoticed. According to the local media, ten robberies with violence are attributed to them.

"Once they detected people wearing exclusive brand watches, they gave the signal so that other members of the group would approach them at gunpoint and immediately flee the scene," the report states.

With this capture, ten robberies have been clarified in which watches worth upwards of 500,000 euros were stolen using a firearm to intimidate their victims and make them not resist.
