VIDEO: Pedestrian saves girl who fell from sixth floor in China

A pedestrian became a hero after saving the life of a girl who had fallen from a window on the sixth floor of a building in Zhejiang (eastern China) on Tuesday.

The heroic action was captured by a security camera on a street in the city that went viral, generating thousands of reactions on social media. 

According to China Daily, a man identified as Shen Dong was about to enter the bank where he works when he noticed that something was about to fall from a sixth-floor window from a residential building across the street.

Dong realized it was a little girl and ran to help her. The little girl managed to fall over the billboard of the business on the second floor, and shortly after, the man managed to catch her in mid-air before she hit the ground.

According to local media, the girl was rushed to a hospital. Despite suffering some injuries, the girl's life is not in danger, and is now under medical observation.

The girl's mother expressed her deep gratitude to Shen and other women who also offered help during the rescue.

"I am also a father of two children, and I don't want to see any child hurt," Shen said in a conversation with the local press.
