VIDEO: California man gives CPR to dog and saves his life

A Los Angeles man became a true hero after performing CPR on a dog and saving its life.

The emotional rescue was captured in a video that went viral on social networks, causing many comments from users, who praised the man's courage towards the canine.

Video shared on the TikTok account @bestfetchdog shows the man performing chest compressions on the dog and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. After several attempts, the animal reacts by moving its tail and legs.

“I had no idea this guy was filming all of this. Look at my face when I first saw and realized he captured this on video. That's the real MVP!" the subject wrote in the post. MVP is the most common definition of 'Most Valuable Player'.

The video has been viewed more than 5.5 million times, and already has more than 420,000 likes and hundreds of comments.

“Thanks to that angel for bringing it back,” wrote one user.

"He was man's best friend, now man became dog's best friend," added another.
