Police and firefighters responded to the Southern California complex around 11:30 a.m. on June 5, in “relation to a traffic collision that occurred behind the scenes.”

“Upon arrival, police and firefighters discovered a woman, a Disneyland employee, who fell from a moving golf cart and hit her head,” said Police Department spokesman Sergeant Jonathan McClintock.

Lear was found in “serious condition” after the incident and taken to a local hospital. Two days later, on June 7, he died from his injuries.

Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock issued a statement Saturday saying they are focused on supporting his family and staff “through this tragic event.”

“We are heartbroken by the loss of Bonnye and offer our deepest condolences to all who cared for her,” Potrock said.

Her former employer’s said she supported membership services at the resort’s exclusive restaurant, Disneyland Club 33.
