A four-year-old Australian girl got trapped inside a claw machine after she tried to steal one of the teddy bears it contained.

Poppy was dared to grab some teddy bears from the claw machine by her twin sister, Savannah, at a pub in Airlie Beach, Queensland, Australia.

However, the heist didn’t go as planned after she crawled into the small glass box opening but couldn't get back out.

“My partner was shocked but I just started laughing,” her mother Melanie Pike, who captured the moment on video, told Channel 7 News

“The girls were playing outside and the next minute my twin daughters ran inside and said ‘mum, Poppy’s stuck in the vending machine,'” said Pike.

The footage shows Poppy trapped inside the machine banging on the glass windows, frustrated at her failed escape.

“How are we going to get you out?” Pike asks her imprisoned daughter while laughing at the situation.

Finally, Pike’s partner, Brett Pearson, was able to rescue Poppy by having her sit down on the floor of the machine and then pulling her slowly through the opening she had used to crawl in.

“Have you learned your lesson? Are you going to steal anymore?” Pike asked her daughter, to which she answered “No.”
